Old shower out to the studs. Rotted subfloor under the curb; CO-1 signed by the homeowner on site. Weather: Clear.
Waterproofing record: first coat of liquid membrane on the walls, pan, curb and niche; corners and penetrations reinforced with fabric. Photos of every corner before cover. Weather: Cold and clear.
Second coat cured overnight. Drain plugged and the pan filled for the flood test; water line marked on the curb. Joaquin checks the line tomorrow morning before any wall tile. Weather: Overcast. Delays: The niche on CO-2 waits on the homeowner; the side wall cannot be tiled until then.

A tile proposal in the demo: Primary bath tile, curbless shower and floor

Groutfinch Tile & Stone sent it to a lead. The scope reads:

Demo the shower and bath floor to the studs and subfloor, recess the shower floor for a curbless entry, cement backer board, liquid waterproofing with a flood test before any tile, linear drain, wall and floor tile, grout, sealing and caulk, full cleanup.

Is there a tile version of SelfConstruct?

Not as a separate product. Groutfinch Tile & Stone opens with the business type “Tile & stone”, so its menus are set for that trade. In a customer's company today, the menus are the same whatever the trade.

Can a tile job be fixed price or time and materials?

Both are in the demo: Groutfinch Tile & Stone's “Prewitt primary shower rebuild” is a fixed-price job, and “Marsh shower re-grout and re-caulk” is billed time and materials.
