AI credits, explained — what the AI office does and what a heavy month costs

Every plan includes a monthly AI allowance. Credit packs exist for the months you lean on it hard. Here's exactly what you're paying for — and what you aren't.

What the AI office actually does

It does staff work, not chatbot work: drafts complete bids in your house style from a plan set, writes the response letter to the county's plan-review comments, compares a new bid section-by-section against your real cost history and flags the underpriced line, reads a stack of receipts into job costs, and researches questions with cited sources. Every plan includes a monthly allowance

Builder includes $25/month of AI usage, Pro $60, Scale $150 — metered at true provider cost, with no markup inside the allowance. A live meter in the app shows exactly what's left. For scale: a bid-vs-cost-history check runs about $0.18; a drafted county-letter reply, around a dollar. A normal month fits comfortably inside the allowance.

Credit packs are for the heavy months

Bidding season, a big permit fight, deep research on a new market — some months burn more. Packs stack on top of your allowance, get spent only after the allowance is used, and are good through the end of the month you buy them — buy what the month needs, when it needs it. No subscription change, no plan upgrade required.

How buying works

One click inside the app requests a pack; we grant it the same day and it shows on your invoice. There are no card forms inside the product and nothing auto-purchases — you always ask first.

When do credits expire?

AI pack credits are for the month you buy them — they're spent after your included allowance and reset with the new month. Buy for the month you're in, not for a stockpile. (Land lead credits are different: those carry until you spend them.)

What happens if I run out mid-month?

AI features pause with a clear message and a one-click request for more — nothing else in the system is affected. Estimating, scheduling, books, and portals never depend on AI credits.

Is my data used to train AI models?

No. Your documents are processed only to produce the outputs you request — never sold, never used to train third-party models.
