Concrete software that estimates by the yard and costs by the pour

Flatwork, footings, walls, decorative — the bid is quantity times unit price, and the profit is whether the yards you poured match the yards you sold. Both live in the same system here.

See pricing — it's public · Why SelfConstruct

A takeoff on sheet A1.0 of the demo company's Alpine Ridge Custom Home plan set, zoomed to one measurement: the 3-car garage's slab on grade, 31 feet by 23 feet, outlined on the plan and measured as a volume at 4 inches thick — 9.5 cubic yards, priced at $2,978; beside it the measuring tools, among them Volume, the saved presets, among them a 4-inch slab on grade and an 8-foot foundation wall, and the sheet's other measurements

Quantity times unit price, the way concrete is bid

Every estimate line carries a quantity, a unit and a unit cost — cubic yards, square feet, linear feet of footing — with markup per line. Build a cost catalog once and the next driveway reuses everything the last one taught you.

Cost by pour, not by guess

Your own cost codes split material, labor, pump, finishing and rework, so job costing tells you which pours made money and which one the short load ate. Purchase orders track what the ready-mix supplier actually billed against what you bid.

Crews, hours and the trucks that wait

Time tracking runs from the field on any phone, tied to the job and the cost code. Daily logs carry photos, weather and who was on site — the record that settles a callback argument six months later.

Books that close in the same system

AR aging, AP with bill aging, 1099 vendor totals and a full double-entry ledger, in the same system that ran the pour. Statements come out on cash or accrual, so you manage on one and file on the other.

Questions builders ask

Can I price in cubic yards?

Yes. The unit on every estimate line is free text and the quantity and unit cost are yours — yards, square feet, linear feet, loads, whatever you bid in.

Do you do decorative and flatwork differently?

They are the same machinery with different cost codes. Stamped, broom, exposed aggregate and polished can each be their own code with its own history, so your pricing gets sharper every job.

Is this a dispatch system for service calls?

No. SelfConstruct runs projects — bid, schedule, pour, bill, close. There is no service-ticket dispatch and no recurring billing, so a repair-call business built on daily dispatch will not fit.
