A plumbing proposal in the demo: Tankless gas water heater and a larger gas line
Spigotwren Plumbing sent it to a lead. The scope reads:
Remove the old 50-gallon tank; install a gas tankless water heater with isolation valves and new venting; run a larger gas line from the meter; pull the permit and haul away the old heater.
The notes on that lead:
- Wants steady hot water for a family of five; the old tank is 14 years old
- Checked the gas meter and the run to the mechanical room; a larger gas line is needed
- Sent the tankless proposal

Questions about SelfConstruct for plumbing work
Is there a plumbing version of SelfConstruct?
Not as a separate product. Spigotwren Plumbing opens with the business type “Plumbing”, so its menus are set for that trade. In a customer's company today, the menus are the same whatever the trade.
Can a plumbing job be fixed price or time and materials?
Both are in the demo: Spigotwren Plumbing's “Ashdown water heater replacement, 50 gal gas” is a fixed-price job, and “Brannigan kitchen drain clear and camera inspection” is billed time and materials.
Does SelfConstruct have “A pricebook with margin floors, service agreements and truck stock” for plumbing companies yet?
Not yet. It is on the list the demo's welcome card shows under “Not available yet for your trade”.
