The electrical jobs in the demo
Each with what its estimate covers and how it is billed:
- Dunleavy 200 A service upgrade — 200 A service upgrade: panel, meter base, mast and grounding (Fixed Price)
Job notes: Load calculation notes on file: 100 A service with a new heat pump and an electric range; the customer chose the 200 A upgrade. Utility work order and meter number are in the daily logs..
Schedule: Electrical permit → Utility disconnect and reconnect booked → Service change: meter base, mast and new 200 A panel → Service release inspection and utility reconnect.
Daily log: “The utility pulled the meter at 8:10. Set the new meter base and mast, landed the new 200 A panel, drove two ground rods and bonded the water and gas lines. Customer outage notice was given the week before.” - Osei Level 2 EV charger install — Level 2 EV charger on a new 60 A circuit (Fixed Price)
Schedule: Electrical permit → Mount the charger and run the circuit → Final electrical inspection.
Daily log: “Mounted the charger in the garage, ran the circuit in conduit along the wall, set the breaker and torqued the terminations. Charged the customer's car for twenty minutes before we left.” - Ploverhythe Ridge Lot 22 rough-in and trim — Plan B, two-story: temp, rough-in, trim and final (Fixed Price)
Job notes: Builder PO FR-22-ELEC, Plan B. Draws: temp, rough-in, then trim and final. Job notes: 1970s panel with double-tapped breakers; load calculation notes on file. The utility pulls the meter on panel day, so the outage notice goes to the customer once the date is set..
Schedule: Electrical permit → Panel replacement day (power off). - Kwiatek dead kitchen circuits — Troubleshoot dead kitchen circuits; replace a failed GFCI (Time & Materials)
Schedule: Dead kitchen circuits service call.

- Started rough-in: panel location set in the garage, home runs pulled, boxes set at the builder's heights. Weather: Clear and cold.
- Second floor roughed in. The plumber's vent is in the way of the hall light; moved the box with the builder's superintendent. Weather: Light snow.
- Rough-in finished and self-checked: nail plates on, cables supported, home runs labeled, smoke and CO alarm boxes where the plan shows them. Rough inspection booked for tomorrow at 9:00. Weather: Sunny.
An electrical proposal in the demo: Level 2 EV charger with load management
Sorrelspark Electric sent it to a lead. The scope reads:
Install a hardwired Level 2 charger in the garage on a new circuit in conduit, add a load management device so the charger shares the existing service, pull the electrical permit and meet the inspector for the final.
The notes on that lead:
- Bought an EV; the 100 A panel has no room for a 60 A circuit
- Load calculation notes: the existing service is close to its limit; offered a load management device instead of a service upgrade
- Sent three options: charger only, with load management, or with a 200 A upgrade
Other electrical leads in the demo
- Taproom lighting retrofit and new equipment circuits: Walked the taproom and brewhouse; wants LED fixtures and four new circuits for the canning line
- Breaker keeps tripping, service call
- Parking lot pole lights and emergency lighting checks: The board wants the dark pole lights fixed and a quote for regular emergency lighting checks at the clubhouse

Questions about SelfConstruct for electrical work
Is there an electrical version of SelfConstruct?
Not as a separate product. Sorrelspark Electric opens with the business type “Electrical”, so its menus are set for that trade. In a customer's company today, the menus are the same whatever the trade.
Can an electrical job be fixed price or time and materials?
Both are in the demo: Sorrelspark Electric's “Dunleavy 200 A service upgrade” is a fixed-price job, and “Kwiatek dead kitchen circuits” is billed time and materials.
Does SelfConstruct have “A pricebook with margin floors, service agreements and truck stock” for electrical companies yet?
Not yet. It is on the list the demo's welcome card shows under “Not available yet for your trade”.
